Watson ranked highest as the favourite replacement in a poll of more than 5,000 people for entertainment website IGN. The 21-year-old Harry Potter actress secured more than a quarter of the votes, with American New Girl actress Zooey Deschanel ranking in second place and Anna Friel coming third. Chris Tilly, entertainment editor for IGN.com, said: 'Emma is the overwhelming favourite with viewers - as Hermione Granger she empowered super-smart girls all over the world and she also showed impressive action credentials in the later Harry Potter movies.'
It has also been speculated that the British beauty may reunite with Harry Potter director David Yates for his next film Your Voice in My Head. Based on a memoir by Emma Forrest, who also serves as the movie's screenwriter, Watson would play a self-destructive writer who tries to commit suicide before being saved by a dying New York psychiatrist. Tom Hanks and George Clooney have reportedly been lined up to try out for the male lead.
