The editor of the Harvard Voice yesterday apologized to “Harry Potter [website]” honey Emma Watson after the Crimson rag was accused of orchestrating a “stalking mission” on the starlet during last weekend’s Harvard-Brown game.

Watson, who attends Brown and was at Harvard Stadium for the game, was reportedly “quite shaken” and required the assistance of security to keep looky-loos at bay after.

The magazine launched a live blog on her whereabouts during the football match.But Voice editor Alicia Ramos said coverage of the controversy, first reported.

In the New York Post, was “outrageously overblown” and denied there was any intent to stalk or harass Watson. “The presence of a luminary on campus inevitably creates much speculation and excitement, certainly without the help of an intentionally facetious liveblog,” she wrote. “The Voice denies any efforts to orchestrate a mass mob of gawkers. In fact, the bloggers were never certain whether or not Watson was actually present and never once caught a glimpse of her.”

However, Ramos said the magazine was sorry for any angst they caused Hermoine Granger’s alter ego. “The Voice apologizes for any misunderstanding that the live blog may have caused and for any discomfort Miss Watson may have felt due to the post,” she concluded.
